About this Opportunity

This is a permanent position available on a full-time or part-time basis, situated in Turramurra. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our diverse and supportive team.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for educating children in the Nursery, implementing educational programs that foster independence, discovery, and learning. You will also have the opportunity to communicate daily with parents about their child's educational experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality education and care to children to support their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework
  • Develop programs that reflect the approved learning framework
  • Build positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families, and community
  • Facilitate play-based learning environments that respond to children's interests, strengths, and abilities
  • Document children's learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes
Requirements
  • Diploma in Children Services (essential), with previous experience working at a Diploma Level in an early learning service
  • Experience in a Room Leader role (desirable)
  • A work history demonstrating recording observations, writing learning stories, and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and community members
