Job Title: Nursing and Midwifery Career Development Officer

This role provides administrative support to implement a number of projects which aim to increase the number of Aboriginal people taking up nursing and midwifery careers. The successful candidate will provide career advice for Aboriginal people and communities, while working closely with key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to implement projects aimed at increasing Aboriginal participation in nursing and midwifery careers
  • Offer career advice to Aboriginal people and communities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a small dynamic team environment

Benefits:
  • 38 hour working week
  • Located in the Nursing and Midwifery Office, St Leonards
  • Closer to public transport, cafes and local amenities

Others:
  • The position is a designated Aboriginal position under section 14 D of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977
  • Travel may be required within the State
