Grounds Maintenance Professional

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Professional to join our team at NRMA Ballarat Holiday Park. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the grounds and facilities are well-maintained and presented to a high standard.

This is a physically demanding role that requires a high level of physical fitness, hard work, and enthusiasm. You will be expected to maintain facilities and grounds to the highest standard, always looking for ways to exceed guest expectations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in grounds and basic maintenance work, trade qualification would be a bonus but not necessary. Previous experience with ride on & push mowers, pruning, hedging, landscaping and weed control would be ideal.

You will be responsible for completing daily maintenance and grounds checklists, following direction from the Park Manager and liaising with other departments to ensure the efficient completion of maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain facilities and grounds to the highest standard, always looking for ways to exceed guest expectations.
  • Complete daily maintenance and grounds checklists.
  • Follow direction from the Park Manager.

Daily Tasks:

  • Ensure premium presentation and maintenance of our grounds.
  • Incidental customer service assistance with minor maintenance repairs across our caravan and camping sites, cabins, amenities and other facilities.
  • Assist with building projects, repairs, renovations, mechanical repairs, painting, basic plumbing or replacing hardware.
  • Servicing pool, repairs and maintenance as required.
  • Maintain grounds and gardens.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure the efficient completion of maintenance tasks.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in grounds and basic maintenance work, trade qualification would be a bonus but not necessary.
  • Previous experience with ride on & push mowers, pruning, hedging, landscaping and weed control would be ideal.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic hygiene requirements and safe working procedures.
  • Ability to work unsupervised with a 'hands on' work history.
  • Hardworking, energetic, enthusiastic and possess a high level of physical fitness.
