Maintenance Officer Job Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for maintaining high-quality facilities? Do you have experience in maintenance and grounds/gardens, and excellent problem-solving skills? We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

We are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the maintenance department, including maintaining all resort rooms and amenities, maintaining inventories, caring for equipment, and performing the resort preventative maintenance program. This role also involves maintaining the resort grounds and gardens and assisting with some housekeeping duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the resort's facilities are well-maintained and safe for guests.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the resort's grounds and buildings to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to address maintenance-related issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to maintenance activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role desirable (maintenance and grounds/gardens).
  • Understanding of basic Occupational Health & Safety principles and chemical handling.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Interact with owners and guests in a polite and friendly manner.
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, school, and public holiday periods.
