The Payment Structures and Seniors Branch, part of the Social Security Stream, is responsible for providing policy advice on Australia's social security system. The role involves preparing detailed policy advice, designing broad policy frameworks, and working with stakeholders to achieve joint outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and sound judgement
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in managing competing priorities and working under pressure

A minimum of 3 years experience in the Australian Public Service or equivalent is required. The successful applicant must also obtain and maintain a security clearance conducted by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
