The Australian Government seeks an experienced security professional to fill the role of Security Advisor.
This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a self-motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive security culture and environment within the organization.
As the Security Advisor, you will provide security advice and assistance to all members of the EWIS Land SPO, manage key stakeholder relationships, and develop close links with Defence and Defence Industry security partners.
You will have a working knowledge of the Defence Security Policy Framework and Protective Security Policy Framework, and be prepared to promote the implementation of policies, procedures, and governance in support of Defence's mission and business objectives.
About the Role:
- Provide detailed security, technical, and professional advice;
- Have the capacity to think strategically and develop plans and processes to enhance the security posture of Land SPO;
- Knowledge of and ability to provide advice on security incidents that is in accordance with the Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF);
- Work collaboratively with EWIS Land stakeholders to support the achievement of outcomes;
- Highly developed communication skills;
- Ability to set work priorities and manage workflows; and
- Able to work both in a team and under limited supervision.
