About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our Corporate IT team at Aussie Broadband. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our corporate staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical monitoring and management of corporate infrastructure to ensure they meet performance, reliability, functionality, and security requirements.
  • Engage with other technical and operational teams to ensure a world-class customer experience.
  • Investigate and resolve anomalies and incidents escalated by technical support teams, monitoring systems, or identified during daily, weekly, and monthly management.
  • Escalate incidents to relevant team leaders, managers, carriers, or third-party vendors in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate, follow up, and manage escalated incidents affecting ABB services, including vendor faults once they breach outlined SLAs.
  • Oversee or lead the analysis, design, documentation, planning, deployment, and testing of complex adds, moves, or changes for the business.
  • Assist with defining, prioritizing, coordinating, and executing ABB Corporate IT projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Identify and implement automation of regular tasks to improve efficiency, reliability, performance, and functionality of customer solutions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Systems Engineering, or similar roles.
  • Degree or diploma, or equivalent experience, including Microsoft certification.
  • Broad and demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft technologies and System Administration.
  • Passion and drive for continuous learning and self-improvement, with the ability to quickly gain understanding and competency in new technologies.
  • Attention to detail, excellent personal organization, and time management skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Application Servers (e.g., SQL, Exchange), Remote Desktop Services/Terminal Services, virtualization technologies (VMware and Hyper-V), and cloud services (Office 365 and Azure).
