Financial Planning Role

Job Summary:

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the accurate preparation and maintenance of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

  • Prepare and manage financial statements, including revenue, expenses, and grants in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Monitor and oversee the organisation's financial transactions, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Develop and present comprehensive financial reports to stakeholders, providing insights into organisational performance.
  • Collaborate with senior management to prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Ensure adherence to tax laws and regulatory requirements, managing tax returns and other necessary documents.
  • Support audit processes and work closely with auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit cycle.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank accounts and resolving discrepancies.
  • Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial efficiency.
  • Provide expert financial advice and support to senior management and program directors.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Be CPA or CA qualified.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities are essential.
  • Experience in the Not For Profit sector is advantageous.
