About this Role

As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a memorable experience from the moment they arrive.

You will manage check-ins and check-outs, handle bookings and transactions, and provide local insights to enhance each stay.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

  • Be the warm welcome that starts a memorable guest experience
  • Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities, and tell them about ways to improve their stay
  • Handle cash and credit transactions
  • Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone
  • Take pride in your appearance and place as a brand ambassador
  • Be a trusted contact for all guests. Help them with anything from bill issues to local knowledge, and loop in management when necessary

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Full working rights in Australia without restrictions
  • Prior experience working as a Guest Service Agent at a luxury hotel is preferred. Ideally, you will have spent at least one year in a front desk or guest service position
  • Mandatory certifications include RSA
  • A high school diploma or qualification. A college or university degree would be a bonus, but not essential
  • Experience in Opera preferred
  • Passion for providing luxury experiences, not shy to go above and beyond to personalize our Guests' stay and provide your local wisdom to enhance their experience
  • Ongoing availability to work flexibly as rostered, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Impeccable grooming standards and good personal hygiene
  • An organized approach, ability to handle large amounts of information at once and deal with various requests simultaneously
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Physical fitness as you'll be on your feet most of the day. Sometimes you'll need to lift, push, and pull objects, such as tables, up to 23 kg – we have the equipment to support you and keep you safe
