Job Description

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to provide accurate and timely processing of company payroll on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls with accuracy and meet deadlines, as well as handle employee leave requests.
  • Prepare and process termination calculations according to relevant awards, employment contracts, and legislation.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, industrial instruments, agreements, and legislation regarding payroll practices.
  • Understand current Enterprise Agreements to provide advice to relevant parties.
  • Maintain filing systems and distribute statutory documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-5 years of practical end-to-end payroll experience.
  • Understanding of computerized payroll and time and attendance systems.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong Excel skills, along with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of dealing with modern awards and ability to interpret relevant legislation.
