Work in a dynamic finance team that is responsible for administering timely, accurate and relevant processing and recording of payroll. This is an ongoing role based in Brisbane CBD.

The base salary for this position is approximately $85,000 to $92,000 per annum, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

You will have the opportunity to take advantage of salary packaging to increase your take-home pay.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong knowledge of payroll systems, awards, and legislation. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

As a member of the finance team, you will also assist with other accounting tasks and provide excellent customer service to staff.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurate processing of end-to-end payroll including salary packaging
  • Respond to staff payroll queries in a timely manner
  • Assist managers by providing necessary reports
  • Manage workers' compensations and maternity leave payments
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of payroll GL Codes
What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who has:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a good understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Payroll Officer in a medium to large organisation with a minimum 300 employees
  • Strong knowledge of SCHADS and Nursing Awards and the ability to interpret these awards
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be organised, prioritise work and consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and independently
