We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects in Tasmania, specifically in the North-West region. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project management, with a strong background in construction principles and a proven track record of delivering projects within budget and schedule.



The successful candidate will have a high level of business and commercial acumen, with a sound ability to create, read, and interpret budgets, financial statements, and analyze variance reports. They will also have a strong understanding of construction principles in a multi-discipline contracting environment and be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.



Key responsibilities will include planning, executing, and finalizing projects for delivery to clients, managing project teams to accurately and timely deliver projects, and overseeing quality control throughout the project life cycle. The successful candidate will also be responsible for acquiring resources and coordinating efforts of team members to ensure clients' needs are delivered in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.



Key Requirements




  • Extensive project management experience working on large infrastructure projects, preferably in a water infrastructure environment
  • Relevant project management accreditation, such as Australian Institute Project Management (AIPM), PMBOK, Diploma, PMP, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of construction principles in a multi-discipline contracting environment
  • High level of business and commercial acumen, with a sound ability to create, read, and interpret budgets, financial statements, and analyze variance reports
  • Civil engineering qualification and significant engineering experience throughout design, construction, and commissioning on Brownfields and Greenfields projects
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with various stakeholders
