Job Title: Production Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Director to lead our manufacturing operations in Melbourne. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving manufacturing onsite and achieving output, quality, and cost targets.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Production Management
  • Manage all areas of plant production to deliver products that meet the quality, cost, volume, and service criteria.
  • Facilitate daily performance meetings with operations team stakeholders.
  • Work with the planning team to optimize schedules to ensure efficiency while meeting customer requirements.
  • Ensure shift supervisors lead their shifts appropriately and meet KPIs.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure accurate levels of production for each product produced.
Safety
  • Lead by example, adhering to Remedy OH&S Policy, the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, and safe work procedures.
Quality
  • Ensure standard work and process documents are being followed and products are produced to the agreed quality standards.
Leadership:
  • Add capability to the production team, influencing and providing direction across operations and manufacturing.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years' experience in similar production management roles in food manufacturing or related industries.
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Adaptable leadership style, hands-on when required. Can handle pressure and has the ability to multitask.
  • Trained in Continuous Improvement processes (i.e., Lean), with the ability to improve processes within a manufacturing environment.
