Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Officer to lead a culturally appropriate 'listening tour' with Aboriginal groups and individuals. This project will be the first of its kind for the centre and represents a big step towards ensuring headspace Wollongong is providing culturally appropriate care to young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be an active member within the local community.
  • Hold relevant qualifications and / or experience working in a similar role.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including those from diverse backgrounds to engage and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability manage consultation activities and communicate policies and procedures.

Salary and Conditions

This part-time opportunity is available up to 15 hours per week, negotiable days and hours. The estimated salary for this role is around $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, based on the location and industry standards.
