Join Our Team as a Space Governance Research Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Space Governance Research Officer. As a key member of our research team, you will play a critical role in facilitating and conducting research associated with various research projects, including the regulation of space activities in Australia and globally.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to leading-edge research on the governance of activities in outer space. Your duties will include:

  • Facilitating and conducting research associated with various research projects
  • Assisting with the development of research projects and reporting against milestones
  • Working with a range of computer systems and applications
  • Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships
  • Managing multiple tasks and meeting competing deadlines
  • Liaising effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively and productively within a team

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university graduate in the humanities, with a focus on space activities, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training or experience
  • Knowledge of research protocols, design and planning
  • Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team
