This position requires an individual with lived experience of mental health and substance use issues to provide advocacy and support to consumers and carers while linking them with relevant services and clinicians.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Enhancing outcomes for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in emergency departments.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and service providers.
- Supporting consumers and carers in navigating the healthcare system and accessing necessary resources.
- Lived experience of mental health and substance use issues.
- A Certificate IV in Peer Work or a willingness to undertake this qualification.
- A valid driver's license.
