Role Definition

  • Coordinate management of multiple, related high-priority and/or high-risk projects where the project's scope is aligned with key strategic initiatives. Lead project teams to deliver complex business, integration, implementation projects, and continuous improvement/lean efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Apply program and project management principles to manage scope, timeline, resources, stakeholders, and risk throughout the lifecycle of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead high-priority projects to achieve measurable business process improvements.
  • Provide technical training and guidance for continuous improvement on the planning, development, and implementation of process improvement.
  • Utilize facilitation and consultancy skills to assist leaders in identifying growth opportunities and planning strategically.

Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products, and services.

  • Defines the critical workflow for executing key processes.
  • Identifies process problems that limit performance.
  • Implements methods for improving and establishing controls for critical processes.
  • Surfaces systemic problems to be addressed at the organizational level.

Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

  • Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements.
  • Obtains information from stakeholders during the planning stage of a project.
  • Produces standard project status reports.

Six Sigma Methodology: Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) methodology; ability to use the methodology to improve the manufacturing processes and control the improvements by eliminating root causes.

  • Guides on the choice and use of appropriate tools to measure existing performance.
  • Estimates the root cause of quality or service-related problems.
  • Resolves various obstacles and problems in performance improvement.
  • Facilitates changes to improve performance in relation to costs or quality of products and services.

Consideration for Top Candidates:

  • Previous experience supporting and managing projects in Finance, Credit, and operations.
  • Strong ability to not only lead a project and a group of SMEs but also actively participate in project work and support in the requirements for delivery/implementation.
  • 6 Sigma background.
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP).

Degree Requirement:

  • A 4-year college or university degree and a minimum of 5 years exempt experience in project or change management is recommended.
