Rehabilitation Specialist

The rehabilitation specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting individuals with physical and psychological conditions to regain optimal health and productivity. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive occupational rehabilitation services to clients with diverse physical and psychological conditions.
  • Develop and implement case management strategies to facilitate clients' return to health and work outcomes through collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Create injury prevention and workplace education programs for employers and employees to promote a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate closely with injured workers, medical, and allied health professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough vocational assessments and injury prevention services to support successful reintegration into the workforce.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling are essential.
  • Acceptance of applications with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) is considered, along with support for ASORC membership and supervision.
  • Current General or Provisional AHPRA registration or Full ASORC Membership is mandatory.
  • Experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills, empathy, and compassion are vital for success in this role.
  • Strong time management skills are necessary to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A current QLD Driver's License and access to own car with insurance are required for travel to client sites.
