Medical Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Officer to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient-centred care, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with drug and alcohol use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with drug and alcohol use disorders
  • Prescribe medications and provide ongoing evaluation of these patients
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing immediate assessment, diagnosis and treatment
  • Collaborate with nurses and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Refer patients and coordinate with relevant parties involved in medical management
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to medical standards

Requirements:

  • Full unconditional registration with AHPRA
  • Primary care and mental health management experience at a general practitioner level
  • Relevant fellowship or recognition as a General Practitioner
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and practice systems
  • Current work rights in Australia
  • Evidence of training and accreditation in prescribing for opioid dependence
