Fresh Start is a not-for-profit organisation concentrating on detoxing and developing a drug-free lifestyle. Their unique and comprehensive drug and alcohol treatment approach has helped over 14,000 people and their families out of the vicious cycle of addiction.

They are rapidly growing and are now seeking a Support Worker/Administrative Assistant to join their Northam Recovery Rehabilitation Centre. Fresh Start is looking for someone passionate, committed, and dynamic with the ability to support clients within an evidence-based framework, in addition to completing the admission process, including liaising with Centrelink and other administrative duties, daily tasks in the service and facilitating group work and client activities.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As an efficient and effective Support Worker/Administration Assistant, you will report to the General Manager and primarily be responsible for providing administrative support, offering a high level of care to clients & providing support to the Northam Recovery Programme.
- **The key responsibilities include**:_

**General Administration & Data Entry**
- Perform reception duties, answer phones, book and confirm appointments, and prepare client files
- Manage the client information and data entry using the Pharos software
- Assist with managing accurate patient information, including patient record-keeping; data collection; bookings and billing
- Maintain the condition of all files and records
- Timely and accurate issuing of invoices
- Make appointments and respond to enquiries according to the Clinic procedures
- Handle and manage other ad-hoc or admin duties

**Support Worker**
- Provide direct support to clients, including personal care and emotional support
- Collaborate and empower clients to make sound decisions and informed choices
- Monitor clients’ physical and emotional well-being, recording any concerns and reporting them to the relevant clinician
- Assist in the day-to-day management of the facility and follow the house rules and instructed

**Social Enterprise**
- Oversee client participation in community volunteering jobs

**ABOUT YOU**

**Ideal Skills**
- **Have**:_
- Excellent administration skills
- Demonstrated skills in the use of office equipment and an intermediate level of computer skills using a range of software within a Windows environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication with an ability to communicate effectively with the clients
- Previous experience working in a similar role within AOD recovery or health-care
- Excellent organisation & time management skills and ability to prioritise and coordinate
- High-level attention to detail
- Friendly disposition and empathy for the patients and their families
- An understanding of addiction treatments and an understanding of the aims and objectives of Fres Start
- Willingness to support Fresh Start’s Christian approach and programmes
- **Ability to**:_
- Work effectively within a team and independently
- Be calm under pressure and have a “can-do” attitude
- Prioritise and consistently meet deadlines
- Be proactive and show initiative
