**General Practitioner Role at Yongah Hill Detention Centre**:
We are currently recruiting for a GP to provide primary health care services to people in immigration detention at our facility in Yongah Hill, Northam WA.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assess, diagnose and treat clients in Immigration Detention in relation to drug and/or alcohol dependency.
- Prescribe medications specific to the treatment of drug and/or alcohol addiction and provide ongoing evaluation of these clients.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Full Unconditional AHPRA Registration
- Primary Care experience essential with experience in rural/remote setting and/or emergency care highly desirable
- Fellowship of the RACGP or recognition as a General Practitioner
- Experience with computerised medical records and medical practice systems is highly desirable
- Experience with mental health management at a General Practitioner level
**Benefits:**

- Full time hours 38 hours per week. Office hours. No on Call or night shifts
**Other Requirements:**
- Live in Australia or New Zealand and have work rights in Australia
- Evidence of training and accreditation in prescribing for the treatment of opioid dependence or willing to obtain this course
- Current HLTAID002 - Basic Life Support Certificate (or willing to obtain)
