Job SummaryWe are seeking a passionate and energetic People and Culture Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide support, coaching, and guidance to our people leaders on all aspects of People and Culture activities.
Key Responsibilities- Support and Coach People Leaders: Provide guidance and coaching to our people leaders on People and Culture rhythms, including talent reviews, performance management, and end-of-year performance ratings and compensation review processes.
- Talent Sourcing and Development: Source and attract top talent for our teams and coach our team leaders on interviewing skills to enhance the candidate experience.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Drive and advocate for Assurant's DEI strategy, promoting a culture where everyone can bring their whole self to work.
- Policy Interpretation and Guidance: Provide leaders and team members with policy interpretation and guidance, focusing on coaching managers to explore and consider courses of action, potential risks, and decision-making.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Fair Work, OHS, and other relevant legislation, as well as internal HR policies and procedures.
We are looking for someone who brings passion and energy to the role. If you have:
- A collaborative and curious mindset, looking to gain depth and exposure to People and Culture rhythms.
- A strong understanding of our company values and culture.
- 2+ years of relevant People and Culture experience.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a similar field.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Knowledge of local employee relations framework, Fair Work Act, and other related legislation.
- Experience with Workday or other HRIS is desirable.
