Delivering Innovative Solutions in Dam Engineering

As a key member of our Dams team in Sydney, we are seeking a Technical Director or Senior Mechanical Engineer to deliver dams engineering, design and dam safety services for water storage dams in Australia and globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership in the design of gates, regulating structures, outlet works, valves, fish screens and other mechanical aspects of water storage dam infrastructure.
  • Mentor and work closely with the rest of the team to develop sustainable capability.
  • Lead delivery of quality technical solutions and successful project outcomes that satisfy client needs.
  • Participate in client relationship management, business development and proposal preparation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering with experience in mechanical engineering aspects of water storage dams.
  • 15 years' experience in consulting environment, specifically in design and specification of gates, hoists, outlet works, trash racks and screens, fishways, pipe work, valves and other mechanical equipment associated with dams.
  • Experience in risk assessments, dam safety inspections or condition assessments of hydromechanical plant.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplined teams, including geologists, structural engineers, hydraulic engineers, dams engineers and electrical and civil engineers.

Location can be any of our Australian or NZ offices.
