Technical Director or Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

As a technical leader, you will provide leadership in the design of gates, regulating structures, outlet works, valves, fish screens, and other mechanical aspects of water storage dam infrastructure for projects globally.

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design and specification of gates, hoists, outlet works, trash racks, and screens, fishways, pipe work, valves, and other mechanical equipment associated with dams.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams, including geologists, structural engineers, hydraulic engineers, dams engineers, electrical and civil engineers.
  • Develop and grow strong client relationships through active participation in client relationship management, business development, and proposal development.
  • Manage project teams effectively, ensuring timely delivery of quality technical solutions and successful project outcomes that satisfy client needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, and experience in the mechanical engineering aspects of water storage dams. Experience at all project phases, including project identification, feasibility studies, conceptual design, reference design, and detailed design. A minimum of 15 years' experience in a consulting environment is required.
