About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at BBC Group and Public Services. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the HR function and providing expert advice and guidance to senior managers and employees across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Lifecycle Management
    • Provide expert input and advice across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, talent management, pay review, performance, goal setting, parental leave, hybrid working, and employee relations.
  • Senior Manager Coaching and Development
    • Coach and build the capability of senior managers to anticipate and pre-empt organizational issues and drive a high-performance culture.
  • Employment Law and Compliance
    • Interpret and apply Fair Work legislation and Awards to ensure compliance, effectively address workplace issues, and provide strategic advice on employment matters to safeguard legal and regulatory adherence.
  • Complex Case Management
    • Manage and provide expert strategic and people-centred advice to resolve complex and high-risk conduct performance cases or employee/workplace relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations with discretion and confidentiality. Recommend appropriate consequences aligned with company policies and frameworks.
  • Talent Management and Development
    • Drive consistency of approach across the organization to attract, manage, and develop talent to support current and future organizational needs.
  • HR Operations and Administration
    • Oversee key HR Operations processes, such as monthly payroll and global annual processes, such as appraisals, pay review, talent review, bonus, and benefits, supported by the HR Coordinator.
  • Localisation and Program Delivery
    • Localise Global BBC Studios initiatives or programs for the ANZ office and effectively coordinate and deliver impactful People programs to drive employee engagement.
  • Policies and Processes
    • Contribute to, and where accountable, define policies and processes that support the business strategy and objectives aligned to wider BBC Studios policies.
  • WHS and D&I
    • Manage WHS obligations as well as Workers Compensation and Return To Work programs.
    • Lead on developing ANZ-specific D&I and Wellbeing activities in line with the wider company strategy.
  • HR Coordinator Support
    • Effectively lead the HR Coordinator to support them in providing a first-class HR service to the ANZ business.
Requirements
  • Experience and Skills
    • Experience influencing and coaching executives/senior managers.
    • Experience of delivering HR process, initiatives, and services.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with a variety of contacts; strong influencing and persuading skills.
    • Analytical skills and the ability to resolve logistically complex problems.
    • Knowledge of employment law and policies, generalist human resources trends, best practice, and future directions.
    • Ability to manage cross-functional projects internationally.
    • Management, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Strategic Planning and Decision Making
    • Supports the SVP, People and Transformation APAC in developing, adapting, and executing HR operational strategy to help achieve key business objectives.
    • Provides input/contributes to the development of HR strategies for the HR Global Markets team.
