Our Sydney workshop requires a skilled leader to maintain our fleet safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily workflow in the workshop, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to management, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Ensure safety standards and company policies are consistently met, conducting regular audits and providing training as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, utilizing data analytics to inform business decisions.
  • Manage and develop the engineering team, identifying areas for growth and implementing targeted development programs.
  • Oversee stock orders and inventory to maintain cost-effective levels, negotiating with suppliers to secure optimal pricing.
  • Conduct fleet inspections to a high standard, identifying defects and implementing corrective actions promptly.
  • Achieve KPIs and company objectives, developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business success.
  • Provide on-the-job training to upskill the engineering team, enhancing their technical expertise and confidence.
Requirements
  • Relevant trade certificate with experience in heavy vehicle or bus fleet maintenance, demonstrating expertise in mechanical systems and diagnostics.
  • Ability to obtain Heavy Vehicle Inspection Scheme (HVIS) authority, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety & Environment regulations, applying risk management principles to minimize hazards.
  • HR Licence, or willingness to obtain one, enabling effective HR management and employee engagement.
  • Proficient in record keeping, office administration, and computer programs (TIMS knowledge desirable), leveraging technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Computer literate with strong organisational skills, prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
