Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.

The focus of this role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to conduct preventative maintenance on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out, including Lock-out Tag-out.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site e.g. Conveyors and PLCs.
  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue.
  • Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
  • Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.
About The Role

This position is part of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team who keep our equipment performing at its best. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network.

We handle most aspects of technical side, including keeping buildings legally compliant, so everyone is safe, and our sites are operating at maximum efficiency.

Basic Qualifications
  • Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert lll in Engineering OR Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
  • Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings
  • Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
  • Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Experience with sortation machines
  • Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
  • Experience with print and apply machines
