We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our upcoming Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI)-focused project in Canberra. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring overall project performance, management, and execution meet high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee planning, coordination of all project activities and personnel, operational and technical;
  • Ensure all project deliverables exceed expectations and are managed within budget and on time;
  • Manage client relations and serve as primary liaison with the client and stakeholders regarding overall priorities, resource mobilization, and allocation;
  • Ensure internal integration of project activities through effective project management, monitoring, and evaluation systems;
  • Responsible for personnel management and development to maintain high staff morale and retention.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 15 years of experience, Master's degree and 12 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in GEDSI or related field;
  • Ten years of progressively responsible experience and expertise in implementing large and complex projects relating to GEDSI issues or related fields;
  • Ten years of progressive senior management experience on programs of similar size and scope with strong skills in strategic planning, management, supervision, and budgeting;
  • Demonstrated experience managing technically, operationally, and geographically diverse teams;
  • A demonstrated track record engaging experts, organizations, and institutions from diverse backgrounds;
  • Five years' substantive experience working with DFAT stakeholders at various levels in strengthening engagement, capacity, and/or programming;
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with DFAT contracting policies and procedures;
  • Strong leadership skills including building, mobilizing, and leading multidisciplinary teams;
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and with multiple concurrent demands;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • English language skills required.
