Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of polar expeditions and small-ship cruises. This key role is responsible for maintaining our reputation for safe, sustainable voyages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Planning & Feasibility: Collaborate with the Product team to assess new destinations and itineraries, ensuring safe and logistically sound experiences.
  • Permitting & Compliance: Manage complex permitting processes across global regions, liaising with government bodies and environmental agencies.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and maintain SOPs and operational frameworks supporting scalable and consistent delivery.
  • Asset Management & Procurement: Lead equipment and logistics planning across vessels, supporting multiple voyages with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Team & Budget Leadership: Coach and lead a small team, manage functional budgets, and align operations with strategic goals.
  • Sustainability in Action: Bring our B Corp values to life through environmentally responsible practices in operations and procurement.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in a senior operations or expedition logistics leadership role.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, permit navigation, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong knowledge of expedition cruise operations, particularly in polar regions.
  • High-level communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and teams.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
