Job Description:

The M1 South - Blackhill To Tomago Project is a significant infrastructure development in Australia. The project involves the construction of a 10-kilometre dual carriageway motorway extension between Black Hill and Tomago, with a total budget of over $1 billion.

This major undertaking requires the expertise of experienced engineers who can oversee the on-site construction activities and ensure timely delivery of programme requirements from a cost and time perspective.

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating with the Projects Engineering and Supervisory team to achieve project objectives. You will also assist with procurement & supplier management, ensure compliance with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards, and manage project Quality Systems.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Projects Engineering and Supervisory team to ensure timely delivery of programme requirements from a cost and time perspective
  • Significant input in managing project Quality Systems with respect to inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping
  • Planning & programming
  • Assist with procurement & supplier management
  • Ensure compliance of the works undertaken in relation to technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards with a focus on risk management
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in working on Tier 1 Civil Infrastructure Projects
  • Degree qualified Civil Engineer with at least 3 years post graduate experience
  • Understanding contemporary practices in construction methodology on civil infrastructure projects
  • Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders
  • A team player with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines
