Our civil infrastructure project, a joint venture between two leading Australian companies, is seeking an experienced construction professional to join its team in Tarro. This location offers easy access to Newcastle CBD.

About the Role

The successful candidate will coordinate on-site construction activities to meet project objectives. They will work closely with the engineering and supervisory team to ensure timely delivery of programme requirements from a cost and time perspective.

This involves significant input in managing project quality systems, including inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping. The role also requires planning & programming, assisting with procurement & supplier management, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate on-site construction activities to meet project objectives
  • Work with the engineering and supervisory team to deliver programme requirements
  • Manage project quality systems, including inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping
  • Assist with procurement & supplier management
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals, and standards
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in working on Tier 1 Civil Infrastructure Projects
  • Degree qualified Civil Engineer with at least 3 years post graduate experience
  • Understanding contemporary practices in construction methodology on civil infrastructure projects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
