About The M1 South - Blackhill To Tomago Project The $1.029 billion southern package, joint venture between John Holland and Gamuda Australia will deliver a 10-kilometre dual carriageway motorway extension between Black Hill and Tomago. There are 8 bridges that include a 2.6km viaduct over the hunter river and over 1.3m3 cut and fill of Earthworks, as well as new congestion-busting interchanges at Black Hill, Tarro and Tomago. About The Role The M1 to Raymond Terrace project team are currently looking for an experienced Tier 1 Site Engineer to join the team, based in Tarro, approximately 30 minutes from Newcastle CBD. Reporting into the Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible to coordinate on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives. This is a permanent opportunity for approx. 6-8 months with the plan to transfer onto another John Holland project thereafter. Responsibilities Of The Role Include Work closely with the Projects Engineering and Supervisory team to ensure timely delivery of programme requirements from a cost and time perspectiveSignificant input in managing project Quality Systems with respect to inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keepingPlanning & programmingAssist with procurement & supplier managementEnsure compliance of the works undertaken in relation to technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards with a focus on risk management. To be successful in this key role, you must have: Proven experience in working on Tier 1 Civil Infrastructure Projects. Degree qualified Civil Engineer with at least 3 years post graduate experience.Understanding contemporary practices in construction methodology on civil infrastructure projects.Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders. A team player with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines.
