About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culturally Responsive Case Worker to provide dedicated support to children, young people and their families within our Multicultural Child & Family Support Program.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with government agencies, non-government organisations and other stakeholders to deliver culturally responsive services that meet the unique needs of our clients.

  • Provide casework support to children, young people and their birth families through home visits, assessments and case planning.
  • Liaise with the Department of Communities and Justice and other government partners to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake child and family case work including assessments, planning, placement support, monitoring and reviews.
  2. Develop, implement and review children and young people's case plans as per OOHC policies and procedures.
  3. Build and maintain effective relationships with community members, stakeholders and partner organisations to enhance service outcomes.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary degree in a related field such as social work or human services.
  • Proven experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Negotiation strategy and techniques.
  • A valid NSW drivers licence.
  • Intermediate level MS Office skills (Word & Excel).
