Job Summary:

The Senior Fund Accounting Manager – Operations & Control will manage the Fund Accounting (unit pricing) business groups within Northern Trust Australia. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to determine unit goals and resources needed, as well as assessing and developing staff skills.

This position involves conducting performance management and career development processes, providing input for staffing and disciplinary actions, and offering hands-on training to staff. The role also entails developing periodic goals, organizing work, setting short-term priorities, monitoring activities, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.

In addition, this position provides input and support to budget management processes, maintains risk management and compliance programs, and operates independently with in-depth knowledge of the business unit/function.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Fund Accounting (unit pricing) business groups within Northern Trust Australia

  • Strong technical knowledge of Australia Fund Accounting operational processes, business controls, and technical system specifics
  • Excellent internal and client relationship management skills

  • Ability to assess and develop staff skills
  • Experience in major financial services businesses
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed management and leadership skills
  • Coaching and counseling skills

Salary: AU$150,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience
