Senior Fund Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Fund Accounting Manager to lead our team in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong fund accounting and leadership skills to join a leading alternative assets fund manager.

About the Role:

  • Lead a team of 3 professionals providing monthly fund accounting services.
  • Be the go-to expert for all matters related to fund accounting and tax across the organization.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and accounting firms as required.
  • Coordinate the production of financial accounts for in-house funds and external audits.
  • Ensure timely calculation and unit pricing of all in-house funds.
  • Take responsibility for tax compliance activities, including BASs, Tax Returns, and AIIRs.
  • Produce accurate annual tax statements for fund investors.
  • Develop technology solutions to meet fund accounting and tax obligations.
  • Focus on process improvement and internal controls.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and other duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role, particularly in funds management, administration, investor platforms, or registry businesses.
  • An accountancy degree and postgraduate studies; CA/CPA desirable.
  • Practical tax knowledge and expertise highly desirable.
  • Strong project management and people management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with staff and clients.
  • Strong PC skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and maintain attention to detail.

Location: Sydney
Salary: AUD $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
