About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and confident leader to join our team on a full-time basis. As a team leader, you will be responsible for leading by example, supervising, training, and inducting team members within designated work areas.

  • Competently perform all duties of a Senior Catering Attendant and Catering Attendant.
  • Supervise up to 20 team members, ensuring quality, productivity, and performance levels are met.
  • Skilled use of large industrial machinery and thorough understanding of quality control techniques.
  • Implement customer specifications and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Perform administrative and reporting duties as required.
Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of up to 20 people in an area that involves food handling, packaging, and the use of cooking equipment.
  • Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organised and productivity and performance criteria are met.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve performance and productivity in your work areas.
  • Investigating discrepancies in stock take.
  • Ensuring team members receive/adhere to breaks and rosters.
  • Demonstrating strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Implementing directions given by management.
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed as per specification and customer requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day week.
  • Experience working in a food environment.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and supervising small groups of staff.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS & Hygiene.
  • HACCP experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy open plan kitchen.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
