About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Sydney team in a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover role. This position offers a unique opportunity to form close relationships with stakeholders and play a key role in the evolution of our accounting team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process eft runs and one-off transactions
  • Perform daily cash reporting and cash management tasks
  • Download and code daily bank statements, advising vendors of payments as necessary
  • Manage payments of cheques and international TTs, prepare legal and professional fee schedules, and audit confirmations
  • Organise funding rewires from MLs for payroll and operating expenses, update the Fixed Asset register, and manage filing of invoices
  • Enter payments into our General Ledger and reconcile bank accounts, review expense reimbursement claims by receipt and associated fx conversion calculations, and perform petty cash reconciliations
  • Set up new accounts in our general ledger for vendors, undertaking ad hoc duties as required

Requirements
  • Prior experience in a full-function Accounts Payable role, preferably with high attention to detail and strong computer proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover role, offering a salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits
