ThompsonCook, a leading infrastructure company in Western Sydney, is seeking a highly skilled Finance and Accounting Professional to fill the role of Accounts Payable Officer. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary package of $80k.

About the Opportunity

The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for processing and paying high-volume and multi-currency transactions, verifying discrepancies through reconciliations of vendor accounts and statements, and creating and managing supplier contact cards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end accounts payable management, including accurate coding and classification of invoices.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies in vendor accounts and statements.
  • Maintaining up-to-date supplier contact information.
  • Preparing and submitting reports detailing accounts payable status.
  • Assisting with month-end balance sheet reconciliations for aged payables and preparing necessary journals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require 2+ years of high-volume accounts payable experience, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of organisational and planning skills.
