Project Manager - Contract Engagement

The Project Manager - Contract Engagement plays a pivotal role in the strategic engagement of design and construction partners and suppliers for renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with procurement teams to develop, manage, and track procurement strategies.
  • Engage with development and technical teams to define project requirements, specifications, and key risks.
  • Identify and address contractual risks and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage the development of tender packages, tender bid assessments, commercial, and contract departures.
  • Develop contract rights, obligations, and interface matrices.
  • Lead negotiations on major procurement projects with external parties.
  • Ensure effective contractual document control processes are adhered to.
  • Ensure clients' risk allocation objectives and tolerance are considered in all procurement and contracting processes.
  • Deliver pre-construction commercial support services across clients' projects, including managing consultants and advisors to ensure financial close for projects.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in Procurement or Project/Commercial Management in construction or energy/renewables.
  • Strong understanding of the energy industry and familiarity with renewable energy technologies.
  • Experience negotiating complex infrastructure construction contracts and finance agreements.
  • Strong understanding of EPC contracts, engineering specifications, and project management concepts.
  • Tertiary qualification in Law, Project Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
