Job Title: Leisure Activities Coordinator

About the Role

This position involves developing and delivering leisure activities tailored to individual residents' needs and interests. As a Recreation Activities Officer, you will create team activity planning and building lifestyle programs to support residents in staying connected with their community, hobbies, and interests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement activity plans based on resident feedback and suggestions.
  • Communicate and share activity plans with residents and staff in advance, reporting any issues or concerns to the Facility Manager.
  • Deliver leisure programs, ensuring safety protocols and necessary staffing are in place.
  • Enhance the leisure program by identifying new activity ideas and collaborating with community partners.
  • Record program delivery, report incidents, and welcome new team members.
Requirements:
  • Experience in providing care and support to older people or those with disabilities.
  • A basic understanding of aged care regulatory environments, including Aged Care Quality Standards and Charter of Aged Care Rights.
  • A current Police Check and relevant qualifications (Certificate III or IV in Aged Care assisting clients with medication).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
