The Large Projects Pursuit Bid Manager is responsible for leading proposals and estimation efforts on key sales opportunities. This role will ensure efficient development of estimates, proposal and prices in alignment with sales, operations and supporting functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead proposals and estimation efforts from bid-no bid approval until order is booked.
- Identify team members to work on the opportunity.
- Support sales leaders to assess the opportunity and create bidding strategy.
- Assign work to team members, review their assignments and ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates prepared by themselves or other estimators.
- Create and maintain bid plans and review/update action rails, coordinate follow-up calls, assign actions and support in making them done in time.
- Review, challenge and approve all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation approval.
- Support project teams to create project delivery plans, including labor histograms, project schedules and WBS.
- Be open to supporting bid teams virtually or face-to-face, travelling to different locations if needed.
- Review the value proposition to ensure we offer the best solution to the customer while being aligned with Honeywell's strategy.
- Prepare proposal documentation to ensure quality and completeness.
- Responsible for creation/collection of approvals documents and support on review calls with upper management.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy and presentations meetings to Honeywell management and customers.
- University degree.
- Minimum five years of bid management or project management experience.
- Working experience with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project and project management methodology.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience of the bid management process and best practices.
- Technical knowledge of HBS core systems, such as BMS, HVAC, Security, Fire and EVAC.
- Excellent organization, management and communication skills.
