Festivals and Events Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment coordinating events and festivals for a diverse and fast-growing market.

  • Deliver high-quality events by researching, developing, and implementing new ideas.
  • Provide specialist advice, liaison support, and build partnerships with internal departments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of equipment, provide induction processes, and oversee administrative tasks related to each event.
  • Liaise with operational staff, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution.

Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event coordination or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the field, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

About this role: This full-time position involves working on a variety of projects, including festival planning, event management, and administration. As an events coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all events are well-planned, executed, and delivered on time. You will work closely with internal departments, contractors, and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Coordinating logistics for festivals and events, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual requirements.
  • Developing and implementing event plans, including marketing strategies and budget management.
  • Providing liaison support to internal departments and external stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers.
  • Overseeing the delivery of equipment and services, ensuring that all events are well-executed and delivered on time.
  • Conducting inductions for contractors, volunteers, and staff, ensuring that they understand their roles and responsibilities.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in event coordination or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Able to travel as required.
