
Civil Infrastructure Project Estimator

Establish a leading position in the civil construction industry by assuming the role of Senior Estimator. This high-level estimating professional will contribute significantly to major infrastructure and civil construction projects, offering direct visibility to senior leadership and opportunities to shape project pursuits from inception.
This strategic hire will be responsible for spearheading estimating efforts for complex civil and infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate cost estimates are prepared in accordance with project specifications and contract documents.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5+ years of experience in estimating, coupled with strong knowledge of heavy civil construction means, methods, and cost structures.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate Management: Lead and manage estimating teams to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective estimates for civil and infrastructure projects.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis, reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Pricing and Procurement: Develop pricing for labor, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project scope and requirements.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Bid Preparation: Prepare competitive bid packages and proposals for executive review, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Mentorship and Training: Mentor junior estimators in best practices and processes, promoting skills development and career growth.
The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Able to think strategically and influence across teams, the ideal candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to travel or pass background/drug screens.
Qualifications and Requirements- Estimating Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of estimating experience in civil, infrastructure, or heavy construction.
- Heavy Civil Construction Knowledge: Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction means, methods, and cost structures.
- Estimating Software Proficiency: Proficiency in estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid or Agtek preferred).
- Skills and Qualifications: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
- Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
