Key Responsibilities

This role involves providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced day hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a medical setting, with knowledge of health funds and medical terminology.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Triage incoming calls and emails, ensuring timely communication with patients and families
  • Admitting and discharging patients on the day of their procedure, ensuring smooth operations
  • Managing theatre bookings and monitoring day hospital appointments, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Accurate data entry into the patient management system, supporting efficient record-keeping
  • Completing health fund checks and providing financial quotes, offering transparency and clarity
  • Providing general administrative support to the clinical team, promoting collaboration and productivity
  • Delivering exceptional caring service to all patients, fostering a positive patient experience
  • Health fund billing and receipting, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a busy day hospital or medical environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and health funds
  • Excellent telephone manner and general communication skills
  • Exceptional computer and IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work cohesively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Superior time management skills with proven ability to multitask
  • A willingness to embrace the Monash IVF Group principles – Care, Collaborate, Communicate, Commitment, Create

$80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
