About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health services to young people aged 12-25 and their families in the Northern Territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver single session-based interventions to young people and their families, adopting a flexible approach to recovery-based mental health care that is person-centered and responsive to individual needs.
  • Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments, inclusive brief interventions such as Single Session Therapy and Single Session Family Consultations, using a strength-based, youth-friendly, family-inclusive philosophy.
  • Maintain high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic intervention, assessment, and screening skills through direct service delivery, including risk assessment and safety planning.
Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and minimum 1 year of experience in providing individual and group work, including screening, assessment, targeted goal-focused interventions to young people and their families.
  • Registration with the relevant regulatory body as a practicing clinician.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse groups and delivering culturally sensitive interventions.
  • High-level interpersonal, exceptional communication (verbal and written), and collaboration skills, with a strong commitment to professional growth and development.
Benefits:
  • A salary range of $83,495 - $89,999 per annum.
  • Up to $3,500 for relocation assistance.
  • Eligibility for scholarship and bursary grants through NT PHN.
  • 5 weeks annual leave.
  • Salary packaging up to $15,900 annually.
