About the Role
We are seeking a Family Violence Specialist to join our team and provide holistic support services to migrant and refugee victim survivors of family violence.
- Assessing and monitoring the safety of women and children throughout the referral period;
- Providing support, advocacy, and coordinating specialised services for women and children who have experienced family violence;
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other services to ensure the safety and support of women and children affected by family violence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering specialist advice/knowledge to external service providers in relation to the CALD and family violence sector;
- Collaborating with relevant service providers to support integrated approaches to referral pathways and protocols;
- Coordinating outreach engagements with clients at community venues to provide efficient support services;
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a strong understanding of the issues related to family violence, culture, migration, family law, and the legal system. Fluency in a language other than English is essential, with preferred languages including but not limited to Vietnamese, Hindi, Punjabi, Farsi, Dari, Thai, Sinhalese, Tamil, and Khmer.

- Fluency in a language other than English, preferably one of the mentioned languages;
