Job Title: Culture and Employee Support Specialist

 

The Opportunity:

A leading For-Purpose organisation is seeking a Culture and Employee Support Specialist to join their team.

This respected and diverse company delivers a range of services and specialist programs to make a significant impact on youth and families across Australia.

They are currently undertaking a strategic organisational transformation and redesign with a number of key projects.

 

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, and working closely with Business Partners, the Culture and Employee Support Specialist will be responsible for providing generalist advice and support to managers and employees across the business.

The duties will be wide and varied, including:

  • Partnering with the Head of P&C, P&C Business Partners and team members to provide support to over 1000 employees within a diverse geographic spread.
  • Providing advice and support to both managers and employees regarding employee support programs, the performance management process, workplace strategy, rights and responsibilities, organisational policies and procedures etc.
  • Assisting in the development of position descriptions and remuneration framework.
  • Helping with the development and delivery of upskilling business leaders in Industrial Relations and workplace legislation.
  • Supporting investigations and formal disciplinary processes.
  • Developing (in partnership with others) and reviewing People and Culture policies, procedures and practices.
  • Providing analysis of P&C metrics.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this opportunity all applicants will have specific experience and skills in a people and culture function, including:

  • More than 3 years working experience in a generalist People and Culture role.
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of related current legislation (workplace relations), policies and procedures.
  • Experience with workforce planning and organisation design and development of HR strategies.
  • Experience in a diversified organisation with experience in a not-for-profit/for-purpose (an advantage).
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and influencing skills.
  • A talent for effective stakeholder management, with the ability to build/develop/maintain effective working relationships across all levels.
