Job Overview

This role is a key leadership position that requires expertise in consumer and business issues.

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Assistant Directors. As an Assistant Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that the overall management and strategic focus of activities, investigations or projects aligns with relevant policies and directions.

You will develop, implement and review plans for the conduct of investigations and/or projects, including appropriate allocation of resources and monitoring of expenditure. You will also identify suitable resolutions for identified actions, changing market behaviors, activities and issues and provide recommendations to senior management.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Compliance Management: Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation;
  • Relationship Building: Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and professional networks with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Market Analysis: Providing advice on trends and patterns, industry and consumer behavior, and impacts of broader environmental change;
  • Policy Contribution: Contributing to the development of positions on legislative and policy reform;

To succeed in this role, you will have comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws, demonstrated experience in managing investigations and/or projects, and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will also have the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced and large complex organisation.
