
Healthcare IT Support Specialist

The Healthcare IT Support Specialist will perform proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to healthcare software systems. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of key systems that impact patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Support: Triage, investigation & resolution of support calls assigned to the IT Team within agreed SLAs.
- Problem Resolution: Provide problem resolution documentation and notification to users.
- Liaising with Vendors: Log, escalate and follow-up problems that require software fix.
- Funding Contracts: Prepare and upload funding contracts received from Commercial Partnerships Team.
- Maintenance: Maintain standard configuration.
- Participating in Projects: Participate in projects as required.
- User Training: End user training.
- Contract Loading: Upload contracts, prosthetic items, and fees while ensuring compliance.
- Reporting: Assist with training, scheduling reports, and investigate balancing issues with vendors.
- Support for Government and Private Practice Reporting: Support government and private practice reporting.
- Billing & Payment: Manage patient billing processes and resolve related issues.
- Incident & Problem Resolution: Resolve issues within SLAs, consult with users, escalate when needed.
- Software Testing & Implementation: Test and document fixes, maintain configurations, train users, create Confluence/User Reference cards.
- On-Call Roster: Participating in the On-Call roster.
- Quality/Risk Management: Participate in audits and suggest improvements.
- WHS Compliance: Adhere to WHS policies and contribute to a safe work environment.
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to Work: Authority to work in Australia.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience with Patient Administration Systems.
- Diagnostics and Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to tasks.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent written and communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Desirable Experience: Experience with webPAS, eAdmissions, SQL Server, Oracle, and healthcare environments (desirable).
