Job Description:

We're looking for a skilled Weekend Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will be responsible for receiving and dispatching orders in a timely manner. Your attention to detail and ability to prioritize messages and calls according to urgency and importance will ensure seamless communication with drivers and clients.


Responsibilities:
  • Receive and dispatch orders promptly.
  • Prioritize messages and calls based on urgency and importance.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of communication.
  • Enter data into computer software and maintain logs and records as requested.
  • Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.
  • Monitor the route and status of drivers/vehicles to coordinate and prioritize their schedule.
  • Provide drivers with information regarding orders, traffic obstacles, and other requirements.
  • Outsource services effectively to meet daily requirements.
  • Communicate with drivers to remind them of proper vehicle conditions and defensive driving practices.
  • Initiate action to improve performance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Availability to work on-call shifts every Saturday and Sunday.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum 5 years of dispatching experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, comfortable working with multiple screens and tabs.
